UX Improvement: Swap primary action button for pattern creation (Open in Editor instead of Download PDF)
Could you please consider changing the default primary action button after creating a pattern from an image?
In 99.9% of cases, the generated pattern requires adjustments in the Edit mode. Right now, the main button is set to "Download PDF", which frequently causes me to click the wrong one by mistake. This forces me to go back through the menu, which disrupts my workflow and is quite inconvenient.
Would it be possible to make "Open in Editor" the primary/main button instead of "Download PDF"?

Lilly, it’s a bit tricky - there’s a tension between making it streamlined for editor-users versus getting the first-time users to a pdf without them having to enter the complicated editor and being overwhelmed.
Still I’d like to improve it. Perhaps by changing the default path for signed in paying customers like yourself versus first-time visitors.
I’ll think about what could be done and if you have more ideas, please share them too.
Maybe there could be a window when I click Continue on the 2nd step: asking whether to download PDF right away or refine in the editor first (rather than opening the 3rd PDF step).
Also – could you please send a screenshot of the particular screen on your device – I’d like to understand which screen you mean?
Is it this screen? (2nd step):
Or is it the next 3rd screen, the PDF one? It currently doesn’t have “open in editor” button, but I could add it there too.
For now I’ve changed the primary button on the “Open in the editor?“ window that appears when you click on the bottom-right “open in editor” button on the 2nd step, so that the primary button matches the intent of the first click (will go out soon with the context menu fix you mentioned).

Yes, that’s the screen; perhaps it would have been enough for me if they had just placed those buttons side by side, without changing the interface so drastically.

Hey Lilly, I think I found a way. The 2 buttons are now side-by-side and the “Editor” button has a subtle tint to be more visible. Thanks for spotting this UX issue!

My apologies - this update is not live yet, but here’s how it’ll look like:
